Home remedy for respiratory diseases

A good home remedy for respiratory diseases such as flu, cold and cough with phlegm, is thyme tea because it has expectorant properties that help eliminate phlegm, making breathing easier.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon (soup) of thyme
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • honey to taste

Preparation

Add the thyme cup of boiling water, cover and leave to warm for 5 minutes. Filter, sweeten to taste and drink afterwards. This can drink tea 3 to 4 times per day.
Besides taking this tea, you can add the thyme in the soup, meat, rice, vegetables and salads.
However, thyme tea is contraindicated in pregnancy, and in cases of cardiac insufficiency and enterocolitis.
A good tip to fight the flu and the common cold is to wear appropriate clothing the season, do not stay barefoot and avoid drafts.
