A great home remedy for dry cough is taking mint tea because this herb has antiseptic property, mild tranquilizer and analgesic, especially at the local level and mucous membranes of the digestive tract.
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon (tea) of dried or fresh leaves of mint
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • honey to sweeten to taste
Preparation
Add the chopped mint leaves in a cup of boiling water and let stand for 5 minutes. Strain and drink afterwards, sweetened with honey.

Another option is to take a drug based on codeine, which is bought at the pharmacy, because it blocks the cough reflex.
